Why AMOS Exists

Built to Remove the Stress of Hiring Offshore Staff

Anyone can hire a Virtual Assistant.

We live in a world where almost anything is possible online. You can search for a VA yourself, post an advertisement, browse hundreds of profiles and try to work out who might be right for your business.

But like most things in life, when you want something done properly - without unnecessary stress, worry or costly mistakes - you go to people who understand the industry.

That is what AMOS is here for.

Our job is to help your business and to help the Virtual Assistant supporting it.

We take the time to understand both sides of the relationship because a successful remote workforce is about much more than simply finding somebody who can complete a list of tasks.

It is about finding the right person, for the right role, inside the right business, with the right support around them.

Recruitment, screening, interviewing, matching, onboarding, training, communication, security, systems, performance and ongoing support all matter.

AMOS helps bring those pieces together.

Built From Experience on Both Sides

AMOS was founded by Anthony and Christine, bringing together very different life and business experiences from Australia and the Philippines.

Anthony is Australian and has experienced many different sides of working life.

He has worked with large companies and small businesses, built and operated businesses of his own, experienced success, faced setbacks and understands that running a business is rarely straightforward.

He knows that business doesn't always follow the textbook.

There are good months and difficult ones. Costs increase. Staffing becomes harder. Customers expect more. Owners work longer hours and sometimes spend half their day doing jobs they never started the business to do.

Christine brings another side of the story.

Growing up and working in the Philippines, she has extensive experience across different roles and businesses and understands firsthand many of the challenges Filipino workers and their families face every day.

She has seen incredibly capable, educated and hardworking people struggle to find the opportunities that allow them to properly demonstrate what they can do.

Today, Christine brings those experiences, skills and understanding into her life and work in Australia.

Together, Anthony and Christine understand something important:

Australian businesses need good people, and there are exceptionally talented people overseas looking for the opportunity to prove what they can do.

AMOS helps build the bridge between them.

Saving Money Should Never Mean Sacrificing Quality

Many Australian businesses are under enormous pressure.

Wages, superannuation, insurance, rent, equipment, software, administration and everyday operating costs continue to add up.

For a sole trader or small business, another full-time local employee may simply be out of reach.

For larger organizations, building administrative and support teams locally can represent a significant operating cost.

At the same time, there are highly educated, highly experienced professionals in the Philippines and other locations who have the skills, qualifications and experience to support Australian businesses - but do not always have the opportunity or connections to showcase those abilities.

That is where a properly managed remote workforce can make an enormous difference.

It isn't simply about finding cheaper labour.

It is about using technology and global talent intelligently to help businesses save money, recover time, increase capacity and build stronger teams without unnecessarily sacrificing the quality of the work that still needs to be done.

More Than a Virtual Assistant

A great Virtual Assistant can do much more than clear an inbox or enter information into a spreadsheet.

The right person can become a genuine part of your business.

They can learn your customers, systems, processes and expectations.

They can support your existing Australian employees rather than replace them.

They can take pressure away from managers, help customers receive faster responses, keep administration under control and allow business owners to spend more time on the work that actually grows the business.

Sometimes one Virtual Assistant is enough.

Sometimes a business needs an Executive Assistant, customer service support, bookkeeping administration, marketing help or an entire remote team.

And sometimes you only need somebody for a few hours, a particular project or a busy period.

Whatever stage your business is at, AMOS is built to help find a solution that actually fits.

Remote Work Is No Longer an Experiment

For a long time, businesses were hesitant about people working remotely.

Then the world changed.

COVID forced organisations around the world to rethink where work had to happen and showed that many roles could be performed successfully without everybody sitting in the same office.

For many businesses, remote work became a normal part of operations.

Technology, cloud systems, Microsoft 365, video meetings, CRM platforms, online project management and secure digital systems have continued to make remote collaboration easier.

The question today is often no longer “Can somebody work remotely?”

It is:

“How do we find the right person and make the relationship work properly?”

That is where AMOS comes in.

A Bridge Between Businesses and Good People

We genuinely want Australian businesses to succeed.

We also genuinely want the people supporting those businesses to succeed.

Because without good clients, there are no opportunities.

And without good people, there is no service.

AMOS remains a family-owned, privately operated Australian business because relationships matter to us.

We want to support Australian businesses while building genuine international connections that create opportunities for Virtual Assistants and their families.

We are not here simply to become the biggest company in the industry.

We will endeavour to become one of the best at what we do by helping good businesses and good people succeed together.

That means listening.

It means treating people properly.

It means understanding the realities of running a business.

It means giving talented people opportunities.

And it means being there when either side needs support.

That Is Why AMOS Exists

To make accessing global talent easier.

To remove much of the stress surrounding offshore recruitment and workforce management.

To help Australian businesses reduce costs and regain valuable time without simply lowering their standards.

To give talented professionals the opportunity to demonstrate what they are capable of.

And to build long-term working relationships where both sides can grow.

Australian businesses need great people. Great people need great opportunities.

AMOS brings the two together.

Our People

We Invest in Our People

At AMOS, we believe the best client outcomes come from people who feel supported, respected and given a genuine opportunity to succeed.

Our network includes people who are highly educated and simply need the chance to prove themselves, natural all-rounders who can turn their hand to almost anything, and highly qualified professionals with many years of experience already supporting businesses just like yours.

Every Virtual Assistant is a person first.

We listen to them. We support them. We reward good work. We recognize effort, encourage development and treat our people with the respect they deserve. When someone joins AMOS, we want them to feel like they are part of the AMOS family - not simply another name on a spreadsheet.

As a family-owned Australian business, our values matter to us. Trust, respect, integrity, accountability, safety, strong relationships and thinking about the future are at the heart of how we want AMOS to operate.

We have built an integrated management approach around those values, with clear expectations, onboarding, communication standards, feedback, complaints handling, development opportunities, recognition, bonuses and pay reviews designed to help maintain a positive and motivated workforce.

Because good morale matters.

So does feeling heard.

And so does knowing that good work is recognized.

We believe business relationships and working relationships are very similar. Without loyal customers and loyal Virtual Assistants, AMOS could not succeed. Both sides matter, and both deserve to be treated properly.

Our goal is not simply to become the biggest or richest company in the industry.

Our goal is to become one of the best at what we do - by helping our people succeed and helping the businesses we support succeed alongside them.

We understand how difficult the economy can be. We understand the pressures of running a business, managing costs, looking after staff and trying to keep moving forward.

That is one of the reasons we intend to remain a family-owned, privately operated Australian company.

We want to support Australian businesses while building genuine international connections that create opportunities for Virtual Assistants and their families overseas.

For us, remote staffing should work for everyone involved.

Good people. Good businesses. Strong relationships. Better futures.

That is what we want the AMOS family to stand for.
